All lakes produced well, but surprisingly the Pleasure Lake didn't bring the high weights that were expected in the morning.

Accumulator League
We will be entering angler's results from these events (the ones marked with a *) into a points based Accumulator League (more details on the download above). There's a new Fox Match MSB box (worth £550) and a set of Elite Luggage for the top two anglers at the end of the year. To see who's where on the League click here
Barford Bingo
We will also be running Barford Bingo on our Saturday Open Matches! Each card has 1 - 10 positions on it and you have to come in that position to get your number stamped. First to fill the card will win a Fox Match 14.5mt Carp Ambush pole (worth £500).
Today's Silver fish match held on the Pleasure Lake was won by Daniel Bradford (Browning Pownalls) who fished peg 31. Daniel fished expanda pellet on the bottom today - the first time he'd really matched fished this method - so he didn't start the match brimming with confidence!
Also being pegged next to Bob Nudd, fishing a new method to him and on a silver fish match where ounces count - Dan knew the match was going to be a challenge.
Bob and Dan were fish for fish for most of the match. But Daniel managed to catch up with a 3lb Tench which helped him edge first place with 40lb 13ozs compared to Bob's 38lb 13ozs.
Also pictured below is match organiser, Barry Burlton with two great Roach which together weighed 3.5lb.
In practically spring-like weather the 3rd match in this 5 match winter league was fished on Sunday 10th February. Top rod on the day was Simon Wheeler (Dynamite Baits) who fished on the Pleasure Lake peg 8. Simon hadn't had a fish in the first two hours but switched to the pellet waggler (with 8mm Barford Pellet) to catch 109lb 4ozs.
Second overall was Neil Parkinson (Barford Misfits) who was on Willow peg 7. Neil had a few on the pole with maggot but then switched to groundbait feeder (to the far side), again with maggot hookbait and won the lake with 78lb 13ozs.
The penultimate match is in 2 weeks time on Sunday 24th February, draw at Barford at 8.30am as normal.
