anglers fished Choppy’s memorial match on Saturday 22nd October all the lakes at Barford and
Colton Lakes. All the peg fees were donated into
a fund for a defibrillator to be kept at the lakes at Barford.
We took special care to ensure we bought the right one and after
advice bought a fully automatic machine for use on both children and adults.
Thank you all again for contributing to this great cause ……
The Defibrillator is now
located in the shop and up and running.
Here is a photo of Tracey proudly showing Kevin’s Legacy
Thanks so much to Kevin’s partner for 8 years, Tracey Davis.
It was a hard day for all involved, especially Tracey, but between her, her Mum
and her friend, Stella there was a great spread for the anglers at the end with
sausage rolls, sandwiches and homemade cakes. The café gave everyone a
free bacon/sausage bap and teas in the morning and their food at the end was
welcomed by all who fished. Big thanks
also to Ian Ingram who trained us up to use this equipment in January this year
and has offered to provide further training for the defib free of charge – top
work – thank you Ian.

The Pleasure Lake and Top Lake are open this Good Friday from 8am. We are not opening on Sunday or Monday though, apologies.
Fish-O-Mania
This Saturday 15th April is Fish-O-Mania - we are using all the lakes so I'm afraid we are not able to offer any day tickets this Saturday.
Spectators are welcome on site at Barford but please no walking around the lakes - you can see a lot from the car-parks though and the cafe will be open during the day as will the tackle shop.
The draw is at 9am with fishing from 11am - 4pm.
The Cafe
The cafe re-opens this Saturday and breakfast will be available from 7.30am. The cafe will open on Saturdays only this year unles we have bookings on Sundays. This Sunday 16th April the cafe will open from 8am. We'll pop a list up on other Sunday's we're open shortly. Thank you to all who have supported the cafe last year and we look forward to seeing you in there soon.
It's been a busy week! We were promoting free angling coaching at the Spring Fling at the Norfolk Showground on Tuesday. We met some great people and had lots opf interest for the coaching. Big thanks to Steve and Nathalie who helped on the stand all day and Nathalie who came up with the guess the bait challenge. Special thanks to to Kevin Nicholsan who done a chapion job with the indoor casting game, which proved popular again this year. Will post some picture tomorrow as I'm off site today finishing work onthe Syndicate Lake.
Yesterday was the first day of the free Family fish days. We had 30 people attend in the mornign and afternoon and again met some great characters. More update later!
