Barford Lakes Day Ticket Fishing Rules
Below are the Rules for Day Ticket fishing at any Barford Lakes venue in. Please read them carefully as they preserve the quality of fishing we provide. You are expected to have read, understood and agreed to these rules before being allowed to fish.
Barford Lakes Day Ticket Rules & Conditions 2007
- Don't leave a baited rod unattended.
- No fixed rigs - all leads and feeders must be free running up the line.
- Please do not walk around holding fish - return them back to the water in the landing net only and do not stand up holding fish.
- No pellet or cat/dog meat in a feeder.
- Un-hooking mats must be used - please ensure it is wet when in use.
- No litter - take it home or use the bins provided - cut discarded line into small pieces so not to endanger wildlife.
Not Allowed
- Barbed hooks - use manufactured barbless hooks only, max size 8.
- Keepnets.
- Excessive baiting.
- Braid.
- More than one rod.
- Dogs.
- Floating pole method.
- Audile appliances (i.e. bite alarms, radios etc).
- Children under 5 years old.
- Unaccompanied under 13's
- All unsupervised under 16's must be signed in by an adult.
Bait Bans
- Boilies
- Groundbait (allowed between 1st October – 31st March. 1kg limit no balling in allowed - in a feeder or cupped in only).
- All pellets - except Barford Lakes carp pellets, which must be bought on site and may be used as loose feed (soft hook pellets are allowed but as hook bait only).
- Surface floating baits - as hook bait or loose feed (bread is allowed but only if pinched. Please check it sinks before casting.
- Nuts or seeds or any particle baits (except from sweetcorn or hemp).
- Artificial baits or lure rigs.
Please Do...
- Learn & keep to these rules - they are your conditions of fishing here and you will be asked to leave if you are breaking them.
- Pay before fishing - anglers fishing without a ticket will incur an extra charge.
- Use the pegs/stagings provided.
- Use the car parks provided - do not park around the lakes.
Vehicles and equipment are left at their owners risk.
