Another match was held yesterday Wednesday 20th August and the youngsters fished for two qualifying places for the final of the Browning Youth Masters competition which will be held on Saturday 30th August on Browning Cudmore Fisheries in Stoke-On-Trent.
All the lads fished very well and there was a marked improvement on fishing from the previous week.

Jack Gill and James Stannard will be joining Conrad Humphries and Robert King (pictured below) for the final which will boost a £5000 prize fund with £1500 of tackle and Browning sponsorship going to the winner.
Barford Tackle has supplied them with T-shirts and have sponsored them with maggot and caster and Barford lakes has donated £50 to each of them towards their travel expenses.
We all wish them the best of luck and really hope they enjoy the experience of the biggest individual match for youngsters held on commercial fisheries.

With weather not quite as bad as the day before we had 11 youngsters fish the Browning Youth Masters qualifier. The top two anglers went through and the top six anglers were as follows:

2nd Byron Mann 59lb 4ozs
3rd Robert King 46lb 7ozs
4th Jack Gill 35lb 8ozs
5th Zac Pieri 25lb
6th Luke Mann 20lb
Unfortunately Byron is away on holiday for the day of the final so Robert King who was third went through instead.
Each angler went home with a Browning and Barford Tackle Goodie bag with extra prizes going to 1st - 4th placed anglers.
We will be holding another qualifier which will be held on the Match Lake next Wednesday 20th August with the draw at 9.30am fishing from 11am - 3pm. Tickets cost £12 and anglers must book in by calling 01603 759624 or email Danile on daniel@barfordlakes.com

This event will be fished on the Barford Match Lake on Wednesday 13th August and is aimed at youngsters who will be 17 and under by 30th August - the day of the final.
The draw is at 9.30am with fishing from 11am - 3pm. Tickets cost £12 and anglers must book in on 01603 759624.
1 angler in every 10 will go through (roughly) and depending on the interest after the match we may be able to hold another qualifier before the final which will be held on Saturday 30th August.
We will be opening the Match Lake for some practise opportunities which will be on Friday 8th August and Tuesday 12th August.
