2008 Maver Pairs Qualifier

This event is now sold out!   The draw is at Barford at 9am and fishing from 11am - 4pm.

**** Please be aware it is the Norfolk Show Day - so avoid the junction on the A47 where the Norfolk Showground is (also has Sainsbury's and the MacDonalds there) as there will be lots of traffic.  If you do tarvel on the A47 come off at the B1108 if your coming from Yarmouth way and if your coming from Swaffham come off at the roundabout at Easton and head towards Colton. ***

Anglers may be placed and one pair will fish Railway Lake and one pair will fish either Willow Lake or the Match Lake at Barford. Railway will be split into 2 sections and Barford Match will be one section and so too will Willow Lake.

There are a couple of rule variations for Railway and Willow and that is that you may use groundbait (1kg limit), there is no meat baits allowed and you may put all permitted baits in a feeder.

Please remember that we only allow 50lb of fish in each keepnet (3 nets max to be used and then you alternate the fish between the three). The fish at Willow can be a bit deceiving so please air on the side of caution - the more room the fish have in the net the better.  I'm afraid your weight will be disqualified if you have over 65lb in a net - unless you have filled all three and you have alerted the adjacent angler you are alternating the between nets.

There are optional pools on the day which are £20 per angler.  The top two pairs will qualify and the match is decided on section points with section points being use in the event of a tie (and in the event of a tie on that we will go back to weight!).

There will be a catering van here in the morning and afternoon at Barford Lakes.

Directions can be found under How to Find Us (or click here) - there are postcodes for the lakes on the direction links.

Details on each lake can be found under The Lakes section of the site or by clicking here.  It has peg plans, depths and size of fish etc.
