We’re sorry to announce that we will be closing for day tickets at Barford Lakes as from the end of September. This Saturday will be the last day of day ticket fishing at Barford Lakes.
We devastatingly lost Alan at the end of April, he is missed greatly, every day, but we are continuing the beautiful legacy he has left us behind.
We’ve had a busy summer season without him and as a family need some time over the winter to adjust. We will re-open at Barford Lakes in April 2020 but most probably as a members water, details of season tickets will follow soon.
We’d like to take this opportunity to heartedly thank all of our regulars and anyone who has fished here on a day ticket over the last 25+ years and we hope many of you are able to join us as members next year.
The tackle shop is now closed as from 30th September 2019, sorry for any inconvenience. Bait is still avaailble as normal. If you need bait over the winter please check for opening times on 01603 759624. We also have an amount of discounted tackle as we sell off the shop stock so please get in contact if you would like to view the remaining stock.
Club matches, opens, events and the carp lakes will not be affected by this and will continue as normal.
The Starter lake and the free coaching events we run through the year will of course continue. We believe, with the help from the awesome volunteer coaching team, that we are helping to make anglers in the area. For the last 3 years we have introduced over 300 people each year to angling via our Free Family Fish events (supported by the Angling Trust and National Fishing Month). We also have schemes such as the Tackle Bank (anglers donate tackle and we donate it back to youngsters), cheap tackle hire, affordable tickets on our dedicated starter lake, angling in the Norfolk School games (Active Norfolk) and affordable one to one tuition which we believe are all helping increase participation in our wonderful sport.
