Results from Kevin Ford Chppy's Memorial Match

In October the third Memorial match was held at Barford Lakes for Kevin Ford, Choppy, Barford’s open match organiser. The match was fished on all lakes at Barford and 55 anglers attended. This year money was raised money in his memory for Star Throwers, Cancer support charity in Wymondham. Star Throwers helps people affected by cancer with medical advice, complementary therapies and provides a haven for support and education to improve the well being of those affected by cancer.
All pegs fees were donated to the fund from Barford Lakes and anglers gave generously in a raffle which was supported by the anglers and some of Barford Tackle’s suppliers. There was a buffet at the end and Kevin’s partner Tracey’s family made wonderful homemade cakes, which are now looked forward to each year. Big thanks to Tracey’s Mum, Margaret and Stella on all their hard work with the food.
The event raised £1450 for Star Throwers and the memory of Kevin was celebrated with his friends all doing what they enjoy best.
Congratulations to Carlo Rocini who won the match with 64lb 7ozs from peg 14 on the Pleasure Lake and gets his name on the shield which was hand made by Dave Jarvis. The next top 3 results were also from the Pleasure Lake. Full results are below.

A series of silver fish matches are booked in for Tuesdays on Barford Pleasure Lake
draw at 8.45am fish 10.am to 3pm cost £20 all in
